DIY Mad Hatter Tea Party Decorating on a Budget

Earlier this year, I started thinking about The Disney Diner's 100th episode and I knew I wanted to do something extra special. That's when I came up with the Mad Hatter Tea Party idea. I figured I could make a variety of recipes in an extended length video. As I began looking into decorations for the party, I had an even better idea: Why not also show the viewers how to make the decorations themselves? So I began searching for easy and inexpensive ways to transform my dining room into a tea party room fit for Wonderland.

As more and more ideas came my way, I decided to create a whole episode (our 99th) dedicated to just the decorating. In the video below, I show you how to make a variety of fun and wacky decorations that won't break the bank (most items are from the dollar store or Goodwill). I hope you enjoy it and are inspired to host a Mad Hatter Tea Party of your own. Have a frabjous day!!

  1. Attended a wedding at this location. There is a concierge that greets guest at the main lobby and directs them to the top floor. The view is a must see at night.
