by following this easy recipe.

The World's Best Hot Chocolate
*serves 2-4

Ingredients:

1 cup whole (or 2%) milk
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 cups cocoa powder
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons dark chocolate, grated
1 1/2 teaspoons milk chocolate, grated
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
whipped cream
ground cinnamon (optional)



Directions:

Pour milk and heavy cream into a saucepan. Heat over medium-high heat. Do not allow to boil or scald.

In a large bowl, mix: cocoa, sugar and both chocolates. Whisk together. Add this dry mix to the milk/cream mixture in saucepan. Whisk to combine. Reduce heat to medium.

Pour in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Stir well. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Remove from heat and ladle into serving mugs. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkling of ground cinnamon. Serve hot with a side of Disneyland's Churros.

Christmas Treats from the Disney Parks

Now you can make the same Christmas Treats
that are sold in Disney Parks by following this easy recipe.
These Christmas Tree Pretzels and Marshmallows
will be a hit at your upcoming holiday party.

Christmas Tree Pretzel Rods
*makes 24

Ingredients:

24 ounces vanilla almond bark (found in grocery store's baking aisle, near chocolate chips)
24 pretzel rods (found in potato chip aisle)
green sprinkles
white sprinkles
m&m's minis


Directions:

Melt vanilla almond bark in microwave or stove top according to directions on back of package. Dip a pretzel rod 2/3 of the way into the melted bark, use a spoon to spread it, if needed. Shake off excess. 

Using a spoon, dust the entire rod with green sprinkles. Place on a wax paper-lined cookie sheet. Repeat for remaining pretzels. Place in fridge or freezer until firm.

Using a fork, drizzle the melted bark over the green layer. Watch the above video to see how this is done. Immediately press several m&m's into the wet bark. Now, dust with the white sprinkles. Return to the wax paper and let harden.



Christmas Tree Marshmallows
*makes 8

Ingredients:

24 large marshmallows
lollipop sticks (found in craft store)
24 ounces vanilla almond bark (see above for where to find)
green sprinkles
white sprinkles
m&m's minis


Directions:

Melt vanilla almond bark in microwave or stove top according to directions on back of package. 

Stack three large marshmallows onto the end of a lollipop stick. Push together so there are no gaps. Dip the marshmallow stick into the melted bark, using a spoon to spread it, if needed. Shake off excess. 

Using a spoon, dust the marshmallow stick with green sprinkles. Place on a wax paper-lined cookie sheet. Repeat for remaining marshmallows. Place in fridge or freezer until firm.

Using a fork, drizzle the melted bark over the green layer. Watch the above video to see how this is done. Immediately press several m&m's into the wet bark. Now, dust with the white sprinkles. Return to the wax paper and let harden.

Cover with lollipop wrappers or plastic wrap and tie with a bow. Share with family and friends. Merry Christmas!!

Cinnamon Apples Recipe from Whispering Canyon Cafe (Wilderness Lodge)

These cinnamon apples make the perfect side dish for your Christmas ham 
or serve them over a dish of vanilla ice cream.
Either way, they're sure to become a family favorite!

Cinnamon Apples
*serves 4


6 Granny Smith apples
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/2 cup cold water
2 teaspoons cornstarch
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Directions:

Peel, core and cut apples into 1/4-inch thick slices.

In a large skillet or pot, melt butter. Add in apples and saute for 7-8 minutes until softened, stirring continuously. 

Dissolve cornstarch in water. Stir well. Pour into skillet. Add in brown sugar and cinnamon. Bring to a boil of medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for an additional 8-10 minutes. 

Remove from heat and let cool a few minutes before serving. This recipe goes great with our HONEY HAM GLAZE RECIPE!

Cheesy Potato Casserole from The Garden Grill (Epcot)

This cheesy casserole is the perfect side dish
to any meal and is incredibly easy to make.

Cheesy Potato Casserole
*serves 12-16

Ingredients:

32 ounces frozen diced potatoes
26 ounces frozen hashbrown potatoes
2 cups diced onions
2 cups heavy whipping cream
8 egg yolks
8 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded
6 ounces grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 tablespoon dried thyme


Directions:

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients, reserving 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese for later. Stir well. Spray a large casserole dish or lasagna pan with non-stick cooking spray. Spoon potatoes into dish. Cover with aluminum foil and place in oven that has been preheated to 350 degrees. Bake for 50 minutes.

Remove from oven and discard foil. Sprinkle top of casserole with reserved cheese. Return to oven and bake (uncovered) for an additional 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve hot. Enjoy!!
