DREW'S REVIEW: Disney Epic Mickey Game and Paintbrush Nunchuk for Wii

I purchased both of these items for around $40 each last Christmas for my son and wouldn't you know it they are now on sale at Amazon. This is a great game whether you are a Disney fan or just a game player. I have included a review by my 15 year old son Drew, followed by a brief description of the game.

DREW'S REVIEW: Disney Epic Mickey is a very creative game and unlike other role-playing games it allows the player to decide their fate. You can choose whether to be the fun loving Mickey that we are used to seeing or a darker version of him. It is also a thinking game, you have to figure out how and where to find hidden items instead of being shown. There are numerous missions to accomplish and you never seem to run out of options. It takes place in The Wasteland, which contains forgotten worlds and characters that you otherwise may never have heard of in the present World of Disney, like Oswald The Rabbit, Mickey's predecessor. You will interact with a ton of characters in the cut-scenes which are surprisingly full of wit and comic relief.

Wii Epic Mickey Paintbrush Nunchuk is a nice addition (purchased separately) to the Disney Epic Mickey game. It helps control the character's movements and I like how they designed it to appear as if it came right out of the world of the game. Disney Epic Mickey is an extraordinary game that goes beyond other adventure, role-playing games. I find it highly enjoyable, challenging and addicting.

Disney Epic Mickey is an action-adventure platforming game for Wii™ console that sends Mickey Mouse on an epic journey of creativity and discovery. As Mickey, the player is propelled into Wasteland, an alternate world made up of Disney's forgotten creative efforts, and is given the power to wield paint and paint thinner to dynamically change the world while determining Mickey's path to becoming an epic hero. Through the use of this unique paint and paint thinner, the key components of animation and Mickey's tools for impacting his world, players will have the ability to shape how the story unfolds as they discover the concept of "Playstyle Matters" - an innovative style of gameplay created by Disney Interactive Studios' Junction Point, led by industry luminary Warren Spector, where players creatively tackle different challenges in the world to explore all the possibilities and story lines - but with consequences for their chosen actions.
